High network fees
Due to a surge in demand for block space, fees for bitcoin transactions have increased drastically. Getting a transaction confirmed within a few blocks now costs 50 times more than it did last month. As a user, this will affect the amount you are charged for bitcoin withdrawals. We offer low, medium, and high priority withdrawal options, all of which are now dynamically calculated based on current mempool conditions. This means that costs may be higher than you are used to during peak times, but you will pay less than before when the mempool is less congested.
To avoid high withdrawal fees during periods of full mempools, we would like to emphasize that you can also withdraw bitcoin — up to 500.000 sats — via Lightning at a fraction (just 5 sats) of the cost.
